Katy ISD had two teams reach the regional quarterfinals on both the boys and girls side and had three team on both the girls and boys side win playoff games and it showed in the all-state selections.

14 Katy ISD players one Royal player named to TASCO All-State Soccer Team

14 Katy ISD players were named to the 2022 Texas Association of Soccer Coaches All-State Team after a tremendous season for Katy teams.

Katy ISD had two teams reach the regional quarterfinals on both the boys and girls side and had three team on both the girls and boys side win playoff games and it showed in the all-state selections.

On the boys side, Seven Lakes’ Ty Koc, Aidan Morrison and Noa Stasic were named first team all-state. Taylor’s Adan Bousleiman and Luis Lugo, were named to the second team and Tompkins Rafa Gonzales was named honorable mention.

On the girls side, Seven Lakes’ Maddie Rich and Kathryn Lennon were named second team all-state and Seven Lakes’ Katie Fitzpartick and Haydan Erck were named honorable mention.

In Class 5A, Jordan goalkeeper Elijah Betancourt and midfielder Ben Bucic were named first team all-state, while Ryan Armijo was named second team all-state and Marcelo Ojeda was named honorable mention.

In Class 4A, Royal’s Aldo Celestino was named honorable mention all state.

Katy’s Dianne Loftin was named Class 6A Region III coach of the year in her final coaching season after leading the Tigers to a third place finish in District 19-6A and an area round appearance before her retirement.

Jordan’s Jason Meekins was named coach of the year for Class 5A Region III while Jordan assistant Bobby Courtney was named the regions assistant coach of the year.

In boys Class 6A, Seven Lake assistant coach Jay Kolkman was named the regions coach of the year, as the Spartans won district for the third straight season and claimed the Region III crown while making the state semifinals for the first time in program history.
