Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Montego Anderson, 27, of Houston and Sam Newell, 26, of Houston for the theft of a trailer and tractor from a Needville home Feb. 24. The theft occurred at about 10:48 p.m. and Rosenberg Police Department officers located the stolen equipment at a Shell station near the intersection of FM 2218 and Hwy. 59 at about 11 p.m.
“You can’t come to Fort Bend County, commit these kinds of crimes and expect to get away with it,” said Fort Bend County Sheriff Troy Nehls.
The arrests and Nehls’ comments were provided via a press release from FBCSO which also indicated that the farm equipment with a worth of about $30,000 had been returned to its owner.
