The City of Brookshire’s annual Christmas tree decorating contest was a dazzling display of holiday cheer as local businesses and organizations came together to showcase their creativity and festive spirit. Participants assembled at the Brookshire Convention Center, 4029 5th Street in Brookshire, on December 6 to decorate trees provided by the city.

The winners of the contest, as voted on by the community, were announced at the city’s Christmas tree lighting ceremony on December 7:

* Most Whimsical Tree: Jordan Ranch Dental, a newcomer to the Brookshire area, brought a playful twist to the holiday season with their Grinch-themed tree.

* Most Festive Tree: Edward Jones, experts in personalized financial advice, celebrated the tradition of cardinals at Christmas with a vibrant and festive tree.

* Most Traditional Tree: The Brookshire Police Department, dedicated to ensuring community safety, crafted a classic and elegant tree that honored time-honored holiday traditions.

* Most Creative Tree: Church's Chicken, famous for their crispy, flavorful fried chicken, surprised and delighted with a unique and innovative tree that showcased their brand's fun and playful side.

* Best Themed Tree: The Brookshire Public Works Department, responsible for maintaining the city's infrastructure, created a stunning tree that celebrated the hardworking spirit of their team.

The winning trees will be on display throughout the month of December.
