BVSCU opens new Katy area branch

Brazos Valley Schools Credit Union has opened a new branch at 6646 Argonne Drive in Fulshear with a June 12 grand opening celebration. The new branch will be managed by Stacy King who has been with BVSCU for about 17 years. 

“The new branch is open to the community and easily accessible to the Fulshear, Richmond, Simonton and Katy areas,” said BVSCU CEO Yvonne Kershner.

King previously served as branch manager of the Katy location at  25525 Katy Mills Parkway prior to taking the new position. The Katy branch's new manager is Jada Straten who has more than 23 years of financial institution experience.

The credit union also hosted a rope cutting ceremony on June 10 with the Fulshear Katy Area Chamber of Commerce. 

“We are thrilled to have Brazos Valley Schools Credit Union right down the road from the Chamber Office and appreciate having them as an active member of the Chamber of Commerce,” said Don McCoy, president of the Fulshear Katy Area Chamber of Commerce.

 BVSCU holds more than $941 million in assets across its branches and provides financial services such as loans and various personal accounts to more than 58,000 members. Membership is open to anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in Fort Bend County. 

“We are proud to have a physical location in Fulshear are looking forward to partnering and building relationships within the community,” Kershner said.
