Katy resident Lillian Sundstrom celebrated her 100th birthday with family and friends at Carriage Inn Senior Living Community on October 4th. Sundstrom, who has lived at Carriage Inn since 2015, received a letter from Katy Mayor William H. Dusty Thiele in recognition of her 100-year milestone. She was presented with the letter and acknowledged by Carriage Inn Executive Director Tony Rivas at an event in her honor.
Sundstrom’s family joined her in the community for the special occasion.
When asked her secret to living such a long life, Sundstrom matter-of-factly replied, “Good genes.”
“It’s a blessing to reach such a milestone,” said Executive Director Tony Rivas. “We are grateful for the opportunity to celebrate Ms. Sundstrom’s 100th birthday with her family and our Carriage Inn community.”
