Cinco Ranch moved up five spots in this week’s TGCA Class 6A State Volleyball Rankings, improving to No. 11 after strong performances in district play.
The Cougars were ranked No. 16 going into last week and moved up the rankings after wins over Katy and Taylor. The Cougars followed that up with a sweep of Jordan on Tuesday.
The Cougars now sit at 19-5 on the season and have won 13 of their last 15 games, including starting 4-0 in district.
Tompkins sits at 12-7 and 3-0 in district play to be in second in district, while Taylor sits at 3-1 in district play and in third place after a big win over Seven Lakes on Tuesday. Paetow is 2-1 in district play and sits in fourth overall.. Jordan sits fifth overall in district at 2-2 while both Seven Lakes and Katy are 1-2 overall early in district. Mayde Creek and Morton Ranch sit at the bottom of district early on at 0-3 and 0-4 respectively in district play.
