Hymel makes move to Mineral Wells
Katy native Ty Hymel announced his move to Mineral Wells on Wednesday.
The 21-year-old race car driver made the move for the betterment of his racing career as he hopes to move up the ranks.
“Katy will always be home and I hope to make Katy proud in the future,” Hymel said in his announcement. “I love y’all and thank you for the support.”
Hymel scored his first racing win in 2021 and is looking to move up towards higher goals.
Hymel will continue to race throughout Texas in the hopes to move up different series.
“Goodbye for now Katy I’ll see you soon,” Hymel said. “And as always I promise to bring home a championship.”
