Join Katy VFW Post 9182 at magnolia Cemetery at 6801 Franz Road in Katy at 10 a.m. The VFW’s honor guard will post the colors, and an invocation will be given by Post Chaplain Jeb Strickland. Wilbur Duval, a WWII Navy Veteran will be the guest speaker and a poem by local poet Ernie Cormier II will be read. A 21-gun salute and taps will also be observed. Casino Night benefitting Behind the Badge Charities
The Fulshear Katy Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting this event to raise money for Behind the Badge Charities – www.behindthebadgecharities.org. The nonprofit organization provides emergency financial assistance grants to Fort Bend County first responders dealing with injuries, illnesses or other hardships. Comedy Night at the Winery
ErmaRose Winery will be hosting a night of food, drinks and laughter. Igloo Summer Seasonal Job Fair
Local insulated container manufacturer Igloo is opening hundreds of summer season positions in its Katy area plant and distribution facility. Visitors may be hired on-the-spot and Igloo says the company will be offering competitive pay. Staff will be providing instruction, guided tours and answer questions for potential employees. Positions available include operators, assembly line leads, forklife drivers and commercial drivers. Veterans are encouraged to apply. Event will be held at 777 Igloo Road, Katy from 1-6 p.m.

The Fantastics at Central Green
