The Katy Home & Garden Show’s 15th Spring show and gift market is set for March 27-28 at the Merrell Center in Katy. The long-running annual event features dozens of vendors specializing in home design, renovation, decorating and more for attendees to get ideas to make their homes more comfortable.

“Plan to see ideas on expanding both indoor and outdoor green spaces plus shop for spring plants at the gift and garden market,” said Debra Ford, media relations specialist for the event via a press release.

The show is free to the public and will include multiple panels for attendees to get ideas from the businesses and experts presenting at the event. Topics include improving home offices, designing for calm in the home, organizing closets, and how to display art in the home.

Plants will also be a topic with many area residents looking to redesign their yards after needing to utilize them more due to the social distancing protocols of the last year. The green movement also includes an opportunity to support The Brookwood Community, a non-profit residential and vocational community serving more than 250 adults with a variety of disabilities, with many of their activities oriented toward gardening and similar activities. Brookwood will have a gift and garden market located near the main entrance to the show.

As always, the event will feature a gift market, Ford said. Gifts include a variety of products including home décor, clothing, jewelry, children’s accessories and handmade local crafts.
