Katy Christian Ministries has a new face at the helm.
On December 10, the board of directors of the 40-year-old nonprofit introduced Virginia Gonzalez to the organization’s staff members in a short meeting at KCM headquarters at 3506 Porter Road in Katy.
Gonzalez will serve as interim executive director for 90 days, during which she plans to conduct a comprehensive analysis of KCM’s operational status and to evaluate the organization's existing initiatives.
“I am thrilled to become a part of the KCM organization,” Gonzalez said. “With a deep commitment to delivering high-quality services and support to those in need, I feel fortunate to collaborate with an exceptional team that has established Katy Christian Ministries as a leader in our field.”
Gonzalez holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and brings seventeen years of experience in the nonprofit sector, including stints with Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) and CASA, alongside over five years of expertise within both civil and criminal justice systems.
Gonzalez is stepping into the role vacated by former executive director Deysi Crespo, who left KCM in October 2024, after more than 17 years with the organization. Crespo now heads the Houston-based nonprofit Main Street Ministries.
