On March 31, Panda Express opened its newest location in Katy (27244 Katy Freeway, Katy 77494) and marketed the celebration with a t-shirt giveaway from the first Lucky 88 in line plus a check presentation with a donation to Royalty Church – Center of Empowerment.

The new location is having a community fundraiser for Katy High School on April 11 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., with 50% of event sales to be donated to the school, according to the Katy Tiger E-newsletter of April 7.

The company announced that, for a limited time, Panda is bringing the heat with Firecracker Steak and Shrimp—a bold, fiery take on a classic surf and turf. The dish serves up tender sirloin steak bites and succulent shrimp tossed with bell peppers, onions, string beans, and whole dry chili peppers in Panda’s spicy Sichuan-inspired Firecracker sauce, now with even more heat. It’s only available now until May 27 (or while supplies last).
