Pattison City Council to consider establishing parks board, calling election at Tuesday meeting

Pattison City Council will meet Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. to consider a variety of items including the creation of a parks board and calling for city elections on May 1.

Other items on the agenda include:

  • Establishing an agreement with Clean Earth, a Houston-based company that deals with waste disposal.
  • Discussing and possible adoption of a subdivision ordinance which would establish procedures for filing plats for the development of subdivisions within city limits and the city’s extraterritorial jurisdiction.
  • Discussion regarding and possible adoption of a public funds investment policy.
  • Possible award of a contract for engineering services for the 2021-22 Texas Community Development Block Grant Community Development Fund.
  • Discussing and possible adoption of a drainage proposal for the Oak Meadows subdivision and Oak Meadows’ commitment letter to pay half the cost for the drainage infrastructure.
  • Consider a proposal to make Jones and Carter, an engineering firm, the contractor to help the city develop a master drainage plan.
  • Hearing a report from the city secretary regarding permits, the city’s website and upcoming May elections.
