Fort Bend County sheriff’s deputies are investigating a drowning in a Cinco Ranch neighborhood in which a local woman has died.
The drowning occurred at about 8 p.m. Thursday night in the 2200 block of Roberts Run Lane in Fort Bend County. The street is west of South Peek Road and southwest of James Williams Elementary School.
A spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office said deputies were called to the house, where the body was found in the swimming pool.
The preliminary indications are that the drowning was accidental, but the case remains under investigation. The name of the woman has not been released pending the completion of that investigation.
