Diana Lynn Barak, 67, passed into her Heavenly home November 5, 2021 in Trinity, Texas.  She was born March 2, 1954, in Lufkin, Texas and was the daughter of James Ferrel and Mary Ellen Ford.

Diana is preceded in death by her mother Mary Ellen Ford, paternal grandparents Roy and Daisy Ford, Maternal grandparents Billy Elden and Clara Bell Duke, niece Jamie Ellen and brother-in-law James Williams.

Diana is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 45 years, Larry Barak, daughter and son in law, Deidra and Brian Mannion, son and daughter in law Larry Jr. and Rachel Barak, three beautiful grandchildren Alexis Hope and Cameron Dean Mannion, and Constance Kelly Barak, father James Ferrel “Buster” Ford, three sisters Terri Williams, Debra  and Mike Perroni, and Kim and Kenny Moulder, sister in law, Peggy Barak and numerous nieces and nephews.  Affectionately known as Ms. B, Diana was a second mother to countless friends of the family.

Diana was a graduate of Lufkin High School and she attended Stephen F. Austin while studying criminal justice. She and best friend, Linda Frey, founded Planned Community Management, Inc., where they worked alongside each other for more than 35 years, managing properties all over Texas and Florida. Diana enjoyed going on cruises and family vacations.  She was happiest sitting on the beach watching her children and family enjoy themselves.  Before retiring to Trinity, Texas Diana could be found on weekends cheering on her beloved Katy Tigers.  Not quite ready to completely retire, Larry and Diana became involved in their neighborhood, Westwood Shores, where they truly found pleasure in bringing the neighborhood together by opening the 19th Hole and organizing the now Annual 4th of July event.

Diana was a faithful Christian Servant and was a member of Dorcas Wills Memorial Baptist Church. She will be missed dearly by all that knew and loved her, and her treasured memories will be in our hearts forever.

The funeral service was held Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Dorcas Wills Memorial Baptist Church in Trinity, Texas with Pastor Greg Kitts officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to M.D. Anderson or to the Kailee Mills Foundation 462 FM 2920 #113 Spring, Texas 77388.
