Following public presentations and public meetings, the Citizens Redistricting Advisory Committee for Fort Bend County has identified top choices for proposed redistricting maps, Chairman Jacob Lee said in a September 29 press release.
“On behalf of the Fort Bend County Citizens Redistricting Advisory Committee (CRAC), I am submitting the committee’s recommendations to the Fort Bend county commissioners court based on our recorded votes,” he said in the news release.
A quorum/majority of the committee (≥six votes) supported the following two maps, which will be advanced for consideration:
· How_People_Vote_Map_D_JL_Amendment — seven votes
· Mike_Gibson_JL_Amendment_1 — six votes
A minority of the committee (four votes each) supported the following three maps, which are slated for possible consideration by Commissioners Court:
· How_People_Vote_Map_E — four votes
· WD_RY_MAP — four votes
· WD_RY_Amendment_1 — four votes
