The Harris County Sheriff’s office is investigating a shooting that happened late Thursday night at a residence in the 3200 block of Windmoor Drive, in the Westfield area.
The sheriff’s office said the suspects, posing as law enforcement officers, forced their way into the house. Three people were inside the home at the time.
At least one suspect began firing, the sheriff’s office said, and may have shot his shot his companion, the second suspect. The second suspect was confirmed dead at the scene. The dead suspect had dropped his pistol, which one of the residents in the home picked up. The resident began firing at the fleeing suspect and may have struck him.
The sheriff’s office said the fleeing suspect, a male, fled in a sedan with a third suspect. No injuries were reported to the three residents.
In another incident, the sheriff’s office is investigating a stabbing that happened Tuesday night at a Shell station at the southwest intersection of N. Mason Road and Franz Road.
The sheriff’s office said the clerk is expected to recover.
