It’s time for the 44th Katy Rice Harvest Festival -- a festival rooted in community, agriculture, and scholarship – and a favorite local tradition.
The beloved event returns to Katy’s historic downtown square on October 11 and 12, where attendees can enjoy carnival rides, local shopping, food and drink, farm animals, live entertainment, and more – and new features debuting for the first time.
Yes, you read that correctly – the carnival is returning this year with everyone’s favorite rides, after taking a year off.
Also new this year is a car show, which will take place on the square both Saturday and Sunday. Entrants can show off their rides, compete for prizes and celebrate as winners are announced onstage at the festival. The $40.00 entry fee goes directly to scholarships and community grants which are funded by the Rice Harvest Festival.
The Katy Rice Harvest Festival will welcome the debut of the new AgVenture Area which includes a large petting zoo, pony rides, and interactive exhibits.
The festival will feature two days of live music, including Saturday headliner Sawyer Brown, a legendary American country music band that has released over 18 albums and charted 50 singles. Other Saturday artists include Brazos County Line, and Coleton Black. The Sunday headliner is Kylie Frey; the Sunday lineup also includes Bri Bagwell and Holly Tucker.
Tickets for the festival are $10,00 for adults, with free admission for children 12 and under. Carnival unlimited rides and games can be purchased for $30.00 for one day or $50.00 for both days. Tickets + info: www.katyriceharvestfestival.com.
All proceeds from the festival go directly to community grants and scholarships through a partnership with the Rotary Club of Katy, supporting local initiatives and students.
