Jordan earned its first ever playoff victory on Monday, beating Richmond Foster (29-11) three sets to two in a tight back and forth matchup where it took all five sets and went to the wire before the Warriors (21-19) came out on top.

Jordan fell behind a set to none, losing 25-13 in the opening set, but fought back to earn a tough 25-21 win in set two. Foster went a set up again in set three, winning 25-16, but Jordan dug in and fought back again to tie things up in set four, winning 26-24. It went to a fifth set tiebreak and Jordan dominated the final set, winning 15-7 and securing a spot in the area round for the first time as a program.

The Warriors will go up against Memorial next, time and date to be determined. Memorial comes off a sweep of Heights in the bi-district round, 25-11, 25-4, 25-14 and the Mustangs have an overall record of 31-14 on the year. Jordan and Memorial played early on in the year in non-district play and the Warriors came out on top two sets to one, beating Memorial 25-23, 24-26, 25-23.
