Police are continuing their investigation into a drive-by shooting last month and looking for two vehicles of interest in the case.

At about 2:06 a.m. on Jan. 22, police responded to a deadly conduct call at 5221 Luckel Dr. When they arrived, they did not see any suspects, but did talk to two people inside the home. Neither person was injured.

Police conducted a preliminary investigation. Using surveillance footage, police believe possibly six suspects and two vehicles were involved in the incident.

Officers collected 31 spent shell casings at the scene. Of these casings, 28 were 9mm casings and 3 were .22 caliber casings.

Using the Flock Safety camera system, the suspect vehicles seen matching the surveillance footage were identified. The vehicles are:

  • A 2018 grey Chevrolet Silverado with Texas License plate MBZ0614.
  • A 2010 black Dodge Caliber with Texas license plate DTC5780.

Police said both suspect vehicles were captured on the Flock Safety camera system arriving just before the incident and leaving just after the incident.

Police said the case remains open and pending further investigation.

Police said if someone were to locate either of these vehicles, contact the Katy Police Department Criminal Investigations Division.
