State Representative Jon Rosenthal will be hosting a rally and pizza party for public education with other elected officials and advocacy groups in order to highlight the needs of adequately funding public schools – all aimed at increasing support for public education issues across Texas. The event is sponsored by Harris County Precinct 4 Commissioner Lesley Briones, a spokesperson for Rosenthal’s office said.
The rally will be held at Burnett Bayland Park, 6000 Chimney Rock Rd., in Houston on Saturday, October 26 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is free to attend.
Advocates from the following organizations are scheduled to help raise awareness about how insufficient funding has harmed public schools and their capability to provide for students.
