The Sugar Land Arts & Music Fest has announced its entertainment lineup, featuring an array of talented musicians set to take the stage on Saturday, April 26, and Sunday, April 27, at Smart Financial Centre Plaza, 18111 Lexington Blvd.in Sugar Land. This highly anticipated event will showcase a blend of jazz, rock, and pop, providing an electrifying musical experience for festivalgoers as they browse artwork from more than 100 local, regional, national, and international artists.
Headliner performances at this year’s Sugar Land Arts & Music Fest include:
Saturday, April 26 – Main Stage
· 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. |Soiree
Houston’s newest jazz band, Soiree Smooth, is a six-piece band featuring Larry Diaz. The band plays a variety of jazz styles, including jazz standards, Latin, and Smooth Jazz.
· 1 p.m. – 2:15 p.m. | Too Much to Say
A must-see for fans of the Dave Matthews Band (DMB), Too Much to Say is a tribute to the legendary group’s extensive catalog of studio hits and iconic live performances. The band’s strong connection to the DMB sound makes their set a celebration of music intertwined with storytelling.
· 3 p.m.-4 p.m. | Vel Lewis
Award-winning Hammond® organist and keyboardist Vel Lewis will bring his signature jazz, soul, and R&B fusion to the stage. With music featured on hit TV shows including “The Sopranos,” “Friends,” and “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” and fresh off his 2024 Houston Black Music Award for Best Jazz Male, Lewis’ performance will be a festival highlight.
Sunday, April 27 – Main Stage
· 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. | Gary-Michael Dahl Band
Renowned as one of Houston’s most versatile and sought-after bands, the Gary-Michael Dahil Band offers an exceptional mix of smooth jazz, R&B, Caribbean, and Top 40 hits. With recognition from Sunny 99.1, the Houston Parks & Recreation Department, and Gigmasters, their performances promise an electrifying blend of musical styles.
· 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. | Yacht Rock USA Bringing the smooth sounds of the ’70s and ’80s, Yacht Rock USA blends intricate harmonies, funky jazz riffs, and unforgettable melodies to create a nostalgic yet fresh musical experience. Featuring a full band with guitars, drums, electric keys, and two saxophones, their set will transport audiences straight to the golden era of soft rock.
