Multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Katy Police Department, were involved in an intensive manhunt Tuesday evening in the 800 block of Katy Fort Bend Rd.
The manhunt was successful and the suspect was recaptured, though it was not clear precisely where that recapture occurred.
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said deputies responded to an incident in that area and arrested two men, who were not identified. But one of them, though handcuffed, managed to flee the scene.
Gonzalez said the man had a medium complexion, and wore blue jeans and a black sweatshirt. Gonzalez said the man was recaptured at 9 p.m,
Gonzalez said a deputy "took a fall," but was taken to a hospital for preliminary evaluation.
Both men are expected to face charges.
