Tompkins assistant coach Bethany Ellis was named a Texas High School Coaches Association Assistant Coach of the Year, garnering the honors in Region V-6A.
Ellis was named the assistant coach of the year for the region after helping Tompkins to a District 19-6A title, a Class 6A-Region III title and an appearance in the Class 6A state title game.
Tompkins finished the season 42-5, falling to Dripping Springs in the state title game in the teams first ever state appearance.
The Falcons went the entire district season without losing a match, winning 16 in a row over the course of District 19-6A, before going on their long playoff run. The Falcons produced five all-state members on the year and looks to have a very strong team returning for the 2023 season.
