Waller County hires new county engineer

Posted

Waller County Judge Trey Duhon and the Waller County Commissioners Court have appointed Ross McCall as county engineer.

McCall began his new duties May 15 and was to be formally introduced May 17.

McCall is a 2004 graduate of Texas A&M University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. In 2011, McCall earned his MBA at Sam Houston State University. He is a licensed professional engineer and pilot.

“I’m excited about the addition of Ross McCall to the Waller County family,” Duhon said. “His work experience, both in the private and public sector, speaks for itself, as he’s an accomplished engineer with great knowledge of the area and TxDOT (Texas Department of Transportation).”

McCall comes to Waller County from TxDOT, where he was assistant area engineer. Before that, McCall served as county engineer for Washington County and assistant engineer for Montgomery County for a combined period of 20 years. He has private sector experience and a well-rounded understanding of the unique nature of development in the Greater Houston region.

“Ross’ understanding of the high growth in Waller County, and his knowledge of TxDOT, will serve our County well as we move forward,” Duhon said. “Ross will be able to guide us as we continue our growth and will be an asset to both this Court and the residents of Waller County as we move forward.”
