Jordan entered the Dave Campbell Texas Football Magazine state rankings for the first time this season on Monday, moving up to No. 25 after a win over Paetow.
It’s the first time in school history that the Warriors have been ranked in the top 25 by Dave Campbell and shows the progress the team has made with a strong start this year.
Katy also was ranked this week, moving up one spot to No. 8 after a dominant win over Mayde Creek. The rest of the top seven remained unchanged heading into week six of the regular season.
The rankings preview a huge matchup this week between Katy and Jordan, the only two Katy ISD teams ranked in the top 25, as they will face off 7:15 p.m. Friday at Legacy Stadium.
