City of Katy workers put the finishing touches on the intersection of Kingsland Blvd. and Cane Island Parkway on March 18th. The City of Katy announced on March 13th via its Facebook page that beginning March 18th, the westbound lanes at the intersection would be open for traffic. The new Home Depot, slated to open April 11th, is on Cane Island Parkway just north of this intersection.

Engineering design work is in progress to align Pitts Rd at Morton Road. The first phase (shown in red) will re‐align the intersection with four‐way stops. When Morton Road is constructed, the traffic signals and second boulevard lanes will be added (shown in blue). “The current timeline has this project starting later this year,” said Councilmember Dan Smith in a March 13th Facebook post.
