Todd Campbell Rounding
Surrounded by family and covered in love, Todd Campbell Rounding was reunited in heaven with his beloved wife, Betsy, on October 29, 2022.
Todd was born on March 16, 1953 in Bryan, TX to Robert Campbell Rounding and Beverly Ann Rounding. The oldest of three children in a military family, Todd and his family moved several times before establishing a home in Colorado Springs, CO, where he graduated from Air Academy High School. Todd attended the Colorado School of Mines and discovered a passion for geology and petroleum engineering that would last his entire career. After graduating, Todd’s position at Amoco brought him to eastern Wyoming, where he met the love of his life, Betsy. Together, the pair would welcome two children, Tyler and Kendra. A love for travel and adventure took them around the world before settling in Houston, where Todd eventually retired and remained the rest of his life.
Todd became the ultimate “Gump” to his nine grandchildren. He reveled in playing their games, supporting their individual passions and having an active and loving role in each of their lives. Todd’s dedication to his family was a cornerstone of his life.
Todd is survived by his son, Tyler Rounding, his wife Elizabeth, and their children Mark, Eliza, Lucille, Philip, Emmett and Jameson; daughter, Kendra Alessandro, her husband Alexander, and their children Sophia, Luke and Max; brother, Brad Rounding, his children Bradley and Anthony; sister, Julie Pitts, her husband Jim, and their children Alexander (Katelyn) and Austin; brother-in-law, George Jones, his wife Connie Wilbert, and their children Donald and Tighe; and many dear friends. Todd was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth (Betsy) Rounding; parents, Beverly and Robert Rounding; in-laws, Marion and George Jones; and sister-in-law, Barbara Atwood.
