VFW 9182 Auxiliary announced on April 10th that Madeleine Scheele has been awarded a $3000 scholarship from the organization. Madeleine is a Katy High School senior who will be attending Trinity College.

This scholarship is awarded yearly to a son, daughter, grandson or granddaughter of a veteran or service member. “In the process, we hope that high school seniors become more aware of the sacrifices our veterans and service members have made and give them the honor they deserve, “ said Jo-Ann Hays on behalf of the group.
