Weather overshadows local eclipse viewing
City of Katy Parks & Recreation Department’s “Cosmic Encounter” event. Undeterred, over 250 people came, some bringing their umbrellas, to Arboretum Park, 2046 City Park Road in Katy, for story time and crafts. Their patience was rewarded as the skies cleared in time to use their free eclipse viewing glasses to observe the last several minutes of the phenomenon.
