Amber’s Jewelers welcomes community to new expanded location during ribbon cutting

For local entrepreneur and award-winning jewelry designer Amber Gustafson – it was the culmination of a 25-year dream – and a perfect way to celebrate her company’s 25th anniversary.

Gustafson, in partnership with the Katy Area Chamber of Commerce, hosted a ribbon cutting on July 24 to officially welcome her customers and the Katy community to the new expanded location of Amber’s Jewelers at 5510 Roberts Road in Katy. The new store is a custom two-story building with 52,000 square feet of space, plus additional storage space – and is located close to her old 2,000-square foot store in a nearby bank building.

Following two years of planning and then subsequent construction, Amber’s Jewelers moved into the new space in October 2025, adding three new employees to her staff of 20 in the process. In addition to a larger bright and airy showroom and window display space to showcase the store’s custom creations, the new facility offers private consultation rooms where jewelry designers can meet with clients to discuss their needs. An elevator has been added to provide easy access to the second floor. A casting room and a lunchroom have also been added.

Known for giving back to the Katy community, Gustafson made philanthropy a part of the ribbon cutting celebration too – offering a raffle tickets for sale, to raise funds for Society Prosper, a loca children's charity which helps break the cycle of child abuse by providing therapy for abused children in Katy. Raffle prizes included a pendant necklace, a man’s watch and a certificate for $2000 in personalized design services.

“We are pleased to be a part of the Katy community,” Gustafson said to attendees. “We look forward to another 25 years.”
