Aristoi Classical Academy announced on May 15 that Gabriella Havlik is the class of 2026 valedictorian and Aristoi Award Winner, and Emily Hovis is the class of 2026 salutatorian.
Havlik will attend Texas A&M University, where she will major in mechanical engineering.
“Miss Havlik is a leader within the student body, serving as president of the National Honor Society, Choir, and Latin Literature Society, respectively,” school officials said in the press release. A gifted vocalist and actress, Havlik was the TCSAAL Arts Festival High School vocal solo state champion in 2024 and 2026 and performed in many theatre productions as a Griffin thespian. She is the recipient of numerous academic awards, including outstanding achievement in Humane Letters, Latin, science, and math. Additionally, Havlik is the 2026 Aristoi Award winner. Selected by faculty and administration, the Aristoi Award recognizes a virtuous young man or woman who seeks the truth in all things, and it is the highest honor awarded to an Aristoi graduate. Havlik has attended Aristoi Classical Academy since the sixth grade.
Emily Hovis will attend Cedarville University, where she will major in special education. During her time at Aristoi, Hovis led the varsity girls flag football team as quarterback, captained the varsity volleyball team, and was awarded the 2026 Griffin Award for her sportsmanship and leadership. She is a committed volunteer in her church, serving in several children’s ministries throughout the year. Hovis is the National Honor Society secretary and copy editor for the yearbook. In the classroom, Hovis has earned academic awards in Latin and science. She has attended Aristoi Classical Academy since kindergarten.
