Royal ISD has again been recognized as a Capturing Kids' Hearts National Showcase Schools® District — for the second time, the district announced in an April 23 press release celebrating the 2024-2025 award.
“This prestigious honor celebrates our continued commitment to building strong relationships, creating safe learning environments, and fostering a culture where every student and staff member feels valued,” a district spokesperson said in the release.
The official announcement from Capturing Kids' Hearts reads in part:
“We appreciate your team’s unwavering commitment to cultivating a safe and supportive environment for students and staff. The outstanding implementation of the CKH Process in Royal Independent School District is a testament to your dedication and leadership.”
In addition to the district award, all five RISD campuses will be honored and celebrated as Capturing Kids’ Hearts® National Showcase Schools, according to the announcement.
Capturing Kids’ Hearts® is a set of processes developed by the Flippen Group which started in the College Station area. The program focuses on a set of processes designed to create healthy relationships between adults and students in grades K-12, with an emphasis on social-emotional well-being, a relationship-driven culture and student connectedness.
