Beckendorff to face Davis in race for Waller Co. judge

Justin Beckendorff has drawn an opponent in the March 3, 2026, Republican primary election for Waller County Judge.

He will face Brent Davis, owner of Davis Irrigation Services in Waller, who ran unsuccessfully for Waller County Precinct 3 Commissioner in 2024.

“I’m running for Waller County Judge to support smart growth, protect our rural heritage, and lead with transparency and integrity,” Davis said on his Facebook page.

Davis, a lifelong resident of Waller County, announced his candidacy for Waller County Judge in the upcoming primary election on Facebook on December 8. A former student of Hempstead High School and Sam Houston State University, Davis said that he brings extensive experience in business management and budgeting through his work as a self-employed general contractor and licensed irrigator. He and his wife, Jessica Jez Davis, are active members of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the parents of four children. His community involvement in Waller County 4-H, Hempstead Little League, the Waller County Fair Association, and the Bluebonnet Water Board demonstrates his deep commitment to serving local families and organizations, the post said.

Davis emphasized the need for strong leadership and responsible planning as Waller County continues rapid growth. He said that he is committed to strengthening infrastructure, improving public safety and emergency management, and supporting smart development that protects taxpayers while preserving the county’s rural heritage and natural resources. He believes the County Judge must balance economic opportunity with safeguarding the character and traditions that make Waller County unique.

“As Waller County Judge, I will lead with transparency, accountability, and a focus on what is best for our residents,” Davis said. “My goal is to build a stronger, safer, and more prosperous Waller County—one that honors our traditions while preparing for the future with thoughtful, principled leadership.”

The winner of the March primary will be unopposed in the general election since the Democratic Party has not fielded a candidate.
