Blue Fish Pediatrics announced May 21 the opening of its brand-new Katy facility at 23211 First Park Drive on Tuesday, May 27. This move marks a major milestone for the Houston-based pediatric group as it relocates from its current space within Memorial Hermann Katy to a modern, purpose-built location designed to better serve patients and their families, officials said.
The new 8,600-square-foot building offers enhanced visibility and easier access from State Highway 99/Grand Parkway. It reflects Blue Fish Pediatrics’ commitment to providing high-quality pediatric care in convenient, family-friendly settings—and meets the rising demand in the rapidly growing Katy area.
“After nearly a decade in our original Katy location, we are thrilled to expand into a space that truly reflects the level of care and service we aim to provide,” said Dr. Peter Jung, co-founder of Blue Fish Pediatrics. “This new facility will allow us to continue supporting families with the same compassion and excellence they’ve come to expect.”
Founded in 2005 by Drs. Peter Jung and Chris Pielop, Blue Fish Pediatrics has grown into a trusted name in pediatric healthcare across Houston, now operating eight locations. The Katy office, originally opened in 2015, was Blue Fish’s third location and has seen significant patient growth over the years. The new standalone clinic will accommodate additional providers and expand services to meet increased demand, especially during peak periods like summer break.
“We designed this space with both patients and staff in mind—everything from layout to aesthetics supports a positive healthcare experience,” added Dr. Chris Pielop. “We’re excited to welcome families into a facility that reflects the future of pediatric care.” The custom build-to-suit project was developed in partnership with 35 South Capital, a Texas-based real estate investment firm. 35 South Capital served as lead developer, coordinating with Angler Construction as general contractor and Identity Architects as architect of record.
“Blue Fish Pediatrics has been a model partner in this project,” said John Anderson, CFO of 35 South Capital. “Their deep understanding of what it takes to run a successful pediatric practice helped shape every detail of this facility.”
The new Blue Fish Pediatrics Katy location exemplifies a larger trend in healthcare real estate—moving toward accessible, thoughtfully designed spaces in high-traffic areas that bring care closer to the communities that need it, according to the company press release.
