City of Katy joins statewide ‘Brew City, Texas’ program to celebrate No Label Brewing Co. and local craft beer culture

The City of Katy is raising a glass to celebrate an exciting new partnership -- officially entering the Brew City, Texas program, a statewide initiative created by the Texas Craft Brewers Guild to promote craft beer tourism and local economic growth. Katy joins the ranks of cities such as Georgetown, Waco, Austin, Lubbock, and McKinney, all working together under the Brew City, Texas banner to promote craft beer tourism and community pride.

The decision to join Brew City, Texas was inspired by the success and community spirit of No Label Brewing Co., Katy’s one-and-only local craft brewery and a cornerstone of the city’s identity for more than 14 years (and celebrating 15 years this month), city officials said in a November 10 press release.

“In 2025, I learned about the Brew City, Texas program and began researching its benefits,” said Kaci Maris, the City’s Tourism and Marketing Events Coordinator. “After discussions with program directors and other participating city leaders, it was clear this initiative was a perfect fit for Katy and our goals to promote tourism, support local business, and position our city as one of Texas’ premier destination communities.”

Craft beer continues to make a major impact across the state, contributing more than $5.3 billion annually to the Texas economy and supporting over 30,000 full-time jobs, Maris said. With more travelers seeking food and drink experiences—80% research food and drink before visiting a destination, and 70% choose where to go based on those offerings—joining Brew City, Texas allows Katy to share its story through No Label Brewing Co.

With 84 awards and growing national recognition, No Label Brewing Co. continues to shine as one of Texas’ most decorated craft breweries. Highlights include multiple gold medals for its Perpetual Peace BBA Wee Heavy, the award-winning Cali Boy West Coast IPA, and the city’s favorite, El Hefe, the long-running, top-selling Houston-based Hefeweizen. No Label has also earned 32 Crushie Awards for everything from can design and creative merchandise to “Coolest Taproom,” solidifying its reputation as one of the most creative and community-minded breweries in the state.

“No Label Brewing Co. has been an incredible community partner—hosting beloved events, supporting local causes, and earning world-class recognition for their award-winning beers,” said Maris. “Their success makes them a perfect fit for Katy, the Home of Champions, and joining the Brew City, Texas program was an easy way for us to celebrate and support that spirit.”
