The Katy Area Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. will host a public forum for candidates running for positions 1 and 2 on Katy ISD’s Board of Trustees.

The event will take place on April 5 from noon to 2 p.m. at the Powerhouse Church, 1818 Katyland Drive in Katy.

“This is your opportunity to discuss critical issues, learn about candidates’ platforms, and understand the impact on students, teachers and staff,” said a sorority spokesperson on Facebook.

The general election is May 3; early voting takes place from April 22 to April 29.
