On Tuesday, November 18, at around 10:37 a.m., units were dispatched to the
top of the State Highway 99/FM 1093 overpass in response to reports of a woman with her legs over the edge.
Deputy Terrance Greene arrived quickly and was able to calmly pull
her back. The woman was held by Greene until the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s
Office Crisis Intervention Team could arrive.
“True heroism isn’t loud,” said Fort Bend County Precinct 1 Constable Chad Norvell. “It’s the calm voice, the steady hand, and compassion that pulls someone back from the
edge.”
“We’re proud of Greene’s actions,” Norvell added.
