Falcons fall in state soccer finals to end season as 4A Division II runners-up
The Royal High School Falcons boys soccer team and coaches pose with their trophy after the state 4A Division II state championship match-up in Georgetown on April 9. The Falcons – one of Royal’s few teams to ever make it to the state finals in any sport – were defeated by the Bridgeport Bulls by a score of 5-2, finishing as the state runners-up.

The Royal Falcons from Brookshire’s Royal High School brought home the second-place trophy from the UIL state finals on April 9, finishing the season as the state runners-up in the boys soccer conference 4A Division II finals in Georgetown. Despite a valiant effort, the Falcons lost to the Bridgeport Bulls, who pulled ahead late in the game to win 5-2.
