On February 14, 2026, Fort Bend County Clerk Laura Richard, alongside Judge Dean Hrbacek and Judge Christian Becerra, will host the second annual Vows on Valentine’s Day Marriage Ceremony event at the Travis Building in Richmond, the county clerk’s office said in a January 5 press release. This special, free celebration gives couples the opportunity to honor their commitment in a meaningful and memorable way.

Building on the success of last year’s inaugural event—which served eleven Fort Bend couples — the 2026 ceremony has expanded to welcome twenty couples, reflecting the County Clerk’s continued commitment to celebrating love, family, and community.

Couples will be assigned to arrive at either 9:30 a.m. or 12:30 p.m. and will be officiated by the Honorable Judge Hrbacek or the Honorable Judge Becerra, both of whom have generously volunteered their services. Staff from the Fort Bend County Clerk’s Office will also be on-site to assist couples with marriage license filing to ensure a seamless experience.

Clerk Richard stated, “Valentine’s Day remains a meaningful occasion to honor love and commitment. It is a privilege to witness this celebration for a second year, and I am proud that we are able to welcome even more couples as this tradition continues to grow.”

The event is open to all eligible couples who have purchased their marriage license from the Fort Bend County Clerk’s Officeat least seven days prior in advance. Couples may register by visiting the County Clerk’s website www.fbctx.gov/countyclerk for participation details and to sign up.
