Fort Bend County Fair now now underway
The gates are now open with 90 years of tradition as the Fort Bend County Fair began its ten-day run on Sept. 25, at the Fort Bend County Fairgrounds.
Celebrating “90 Years Strong. Honoring the Past, Growing the Future,” the 2026 Fair runs Sept. 25-Oct. 4, bringing together agriculture, youth, rodeo, live entertainment, carnival rides, food, shopping and generations of Fort Bend County traditions.
Opening Day began with the Fort Bend County Fair Parade with more than 200 entries. The George Ranch served as the 2026 Parade Grand Marshal.
At the Fairgrounds, fairgoers will find plenty of family fun for the 90th year. The Texan Petting Zoo will have exotic animals and pony rides. Amusement Midway Provides (AMP) is debuting the WaveSwinger amusement ride at the Fort Bend County Fair, giving guests a new midway experience as riders swing high above the carnival. The ride joins the midway’s lineup of rides, games and attractions throughout the Fair’s ten-day run.
Live music entertainment continues throughout the Fair with Sawyer Brown, Prófugos de Nuevo León, Los Rinches, Grupo Zenzio, David Lewis, Josh Meloy, Pat Green, Vincent Mason and Gary P. Nunn, along with additional performances on Music Row.
With large crowds expected throughout opening weekend, guests are encouraged to plan ahead. Before heading to the Fairgrounds, fairgoers should proactively review gate rules and the prohibited items list to help ensure a smooth, safe and family-friendly entry experience.
The 90th anniversary is more than a milestone. For nine decades, the Fort Bend County Fair has brought the community together while supporting agriculture, education and youth development. This year, more than 400 4-H and FFA youth will participate, with approximately 500 livestock entries across 10 livestock shows.
From the first parade entry to the final day of the Fair on Oct. 4, the 90th celebration will honor the traditions that built the Fort Bend County Fair while introducing new experiences for the next generation.
