In a July 17 press release, officials from Fort Bend County announced the premiere of a new video offering an exclusive look inside the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office’s state-of-the-art training facility currently under construction in Rosenberg.

The new complex, located at the corner of West Fairground Rd. and Stella Rd., broke ground in January 2024 and will be among the most advanced regional training complexes in the metropolitan Houston area and the largest in Fort Bend County. The 189,523 square foot complex will host training sessions for municipal, county, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, according to information on the county’s website. The two-story training facility will be 99,267 square feet and will contain eight modern classrooms, an auditorium, administrative offices, conference rooms, and space for the Sheriff’s Office Emergency Communications Center and EMS administrative offices. The facility will house Academy instructors and supervisors, administrative staff, Kids and Cops Officers, and firearms and driving skills instructors. Additionally, Telecommunicators, dispatchers, supervisors, and support staff will occupy the second floor.

The video highlights the vision, scope, and impact of the cutting-edge facility, which is designed to elevate law enforcement training and enhance public safety across Fort Bend County and beyond, the press release said.

“This training facility represents our commitment to investing in the safety and preparedness of our law enforcement officers,” said Fort Bend County Judge KP George. “It will strengthen our ability to respond to evolving public safety challenges while supporting a safer future for all residents.”
