In celebration of its 90th anniversary, Goya Foods will host “Goya Gives Day” on Monday, March 31, 2026 — the 90th day of the year — marking a major milestone with a nationwide day of service and philanthropy.

Through its “Goya Gives” initiative, the company will donate 1 million pounds of food to individuals and families across the United States. Goya facilities and over 100 partner organizations across the country and around the world including New York, Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles, Madrid and many more will participate in this coordinated day of giving, reinforcing the company’s long-standing commitment to supporting communities and fighting food insecurity, officials said.

More than 30 Goya Foods community partners such as Eyes On Me, Kids Meals, City of Houston, SOMOS, The Houston Food Bank, Montgomery Food Bank, Katy Christian Ministries, Power on Heels, Latino Learning Centers, and many more local Foods Banks Volunteers and employees will all roll up their sleeves to pack more than 10,000 bags of food.

During the March 31 event at 30602 Goya Road in Brookshire, community packing will begin at 9 a.m., followed by a city proclamation declaring “Goya Gives Day” and community partners heading into the community with Goya Gives bags and pallets of food at 1 p.m.

According to the latest data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, approximately 47 million Americans live in food-insecure households, and about 13.5% of U.S. households experience food insecurity at some point during the year, underscoring the growing need for community-based food assistance and corporate giving initiatives, the company said in its Feb. 23 press release.

For 90 years, Goya Foods has been committed to nourishing families and strengthening communities. Goya Gives Day reflects the company’s continued mission to give back, ensuring that families facing food insecurity have access to quality food while celebrating nine decades of heritage, community, and service.
