Commissioner Lesley Briones, in partnership with Harris County Public Health (HCPH) and Harris Health, is offering free flue vaccines for children and adults at Precinct 4 community centers.
With a new flu variant circulating and the holiday travel season approaching, it is especially important that residents get vaccinated, a spokesperson for Precinct 4 told the Katy Times on November 19.
Commissioner Briones also launched new public service announcements in English and Spanish, sharing the message that an annual flu vaccine is the best way to reduce risk of the flue and to prevent severe outcomes or complications.
“Through her commitment to expanding access to high-quality healthcare resources, Commissioner Briones is ensuring families get the services they need to protect themselves and their loved ones this holiday season and beyond,” the spokesperson said.
