Harris County Precinct 4 hosts Black History luncheon, Jesse Jackson remembered
Syan Rhodes (left), press secretary for Harris County Precinct 4 Commissioner Lesley Briones, served as the moderator for a panel discussion at the Black History luncheon hosted by the precinct at the Church Without Walls, 5725 Queenston Blvd. in Houston on Feb 17. Panelists were (left to right) State Representative Alma Allen, Alief ISD Superintendent Anthony Mays and SEIU Executive Vice President Resha Thomas; each one spoke about their role models and influences and the importance of civic engagement.
