Beginning Monday, October 28, a third-party contractor for the City of Katy was scheduled to begin the Pitts Road realignment project, the City of Katy announced October 22 on its official Facebook page. Council members Janet Corte and Rory Robertson shared the post on their Facebook pages as well.
Pitts Road at Morton Road will be closed, and north-south traffic will be detoured to Katy Hockley Road while the project is in progress.
The roadway is expected to reopen the week of November 18 barring any inclement weather conditions, the city said in the post. The post also urged caution in the area and asked drivers to observe the road closure and all detours.
