Scott Long, CEO and founding partner of SOTA Benefits, has been elected President of the Texas Chapter of the National Association of Benefits and Insurance Professionals (NABIP-TX), the organization announced in a June 17 press release. A Katy resident and respected industry leader, Long begins his one-year term on July 1.
NABIP-TX is a statewide organization representing licensed health insurance agents, brokers, consultants and benefit professionals in Texas who service the health insurance needs of large and small employers as well as individuals.
Long brings to the presidency a wealth of experience and a clear vision for the future. With decades of leadership in the employee benefits space, he views NABIP-TX as more than just a professional association – it is a dynamic community.
“For me, NABIP-TX is important because it fosters continuous learning, professional growth, and meaningful connection,” Long said. “It’s a network of professionals who support one another through the challenges of a complex industry. It is a powerful legislative voice for both brokers and clients.”
Looking ahead, Long is enthusiastic about building on the momentum from the 2025 NABIP-TX Annual Conference and highlighting the value of membership.
“What excites me is the opportunity to amplify the impact of NABIP-TX and help more professionals understand how essential this organization can be to their success,” he said.
“My goals for the coming term include empowering local chapters, modernizing NABIP’s offerings and strengthening the organization’s role in public policy.”
With a strong belief in collaboration and progress, Long sees the year ahead as a time to inspire, engage and grow.
“The vision is simple,” he said. “To build a vibrant, indispensable association that not only advances our profession but elevates every member’s career.”
