Katy’s Historic Town Square will come alive on Saturday, September 13, from 7 to 11 p.m., as the community gathers for the Boots & Brews: Kickoff to the Katy Rice Harvest Festival.

This free-to-attend event will feature an evening filled with live music, dancing, food, and plenty of hometown fun. The night will feature live performances from rising country star Payton Howie along with local favorite Earl Sanders Jr. Band, setting the perfect soundtrack for a lively evening under the Texas sky. Guests can sample craft selections from local and regional breweries, with drinks available for purchase, while food vendors will be on-site serving up festival favorites. A variety of local vendors will also be set up throughout the square, offering unique goods, gifts, and western flair to shop while you sip and stroll.

In addition to the music and brews, Boots & Brews will offer plenty of entertainment, including a dance floor, a mechanical bull for those looking to test their cowboy skills, and custom hat bars where attendees can create a one-of-a-kind western look. Souvenir cups will be available for purchase and proceeds from the evening will benefit Rotary Club scholarships, helping support students in the Katy community.

The inaugural Boots & Brews will launch what is sure to become a new Katy tradition, serving as the official kickoff to the beloved Katy Rice Harvest Festival—a celebration which has brought generations together for decades to celebrate the city’s rich heritage.

The event will take place at Historic Town Square, 904 Avenue C, admission is free and open to the public. For more information visit https://www.facebook.com/events/717737231041233/.
