Katy ISD is launching the district’s annual “School’s Out” Food for Families campaign – a community initiative raising monetary donations to purchase grocery gift cards for Katy ISD students and their families in need over the summer.
KISD campuses identify students for the program while the Partners in Education department collects community and corporate donations. Grocery gift cards and a note of support will be distributed to each student by a campus staff member before summer break.
The program’s goal is to help feed 300 families this summer, according to an email sent out by the KISD Partners in Education Department on April 24.
