In an announcement on September 16,LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch heralded the return of its Paws Fest, presented by PUCCI Café, taking place on Saturday, October 4 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. across from Alamo Drafthouse. This free premier canine festival will feature exciting activities, unique shopping, and -- new this year -- a Doggie Dress Competition along with jaw-dropping stunt shows for the community’s furry friends to enjoy.

“We’re excited to invite all dog lovers to join this year’s celebration and enjoy ‘pawsome’ activities and a performance by the incredibly talented Canine Stars stunt group,” said Rita Bennis, marketing manager at LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch. “Our center is proud to offer the community dog-friendly events, products and services for an exceptional shopping experience.”

Known for their appearances on America’s Got Talent, America Ninja Warrior and Nickelodeon Unleashed, the Canine Stars will make their debut appearance at Paws Fest to perform big air stunts including dock diving, frisbee freestyle routines, high jumping, flyball racing and other extreme dog sports. Guests can witness the excitement during the festival at 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m.

The festival will feature dog vendor booths, a DJ, strolling entertainment and family-friendly activities. At 1:00 p.m. in Central Green, pups can strut their stuff in the Doggie Costume Contest, judged by LaCenterra tenants including Chewy Vet Care, Kilwins and Consuela. Categories include small, medium and large dogs with prizes for the most creative, safe and family-friendly looks. Preregistration is required.

When it’s time to take a break from the action, guests can swing by PUCCI Café to enjoy a refreshing beverage with their furry friend. Pups can stay hydrated throughout the day at one of the center’s four dog-drinking fountains.
