According to a March 10 post on the social media platform X by the Fort Bend County Precinct 1 Constable’s office, a large void was discovered under the northwest corner of Westheimer Parkway and Mason Road. Until repairs are completed, southbound lanes of Mason Road and westbound lanes of Westheimer Parkway will be closed. Additional reporting from local Houston-area television station KHOU-11 the same day said that officials have not said how long the closure will last but that the intersection will remain shut down until repairs are completed.
